You are never too young to join the library!

An early introduction to books helps children become confident readers. Book sharing is not just about reading - it is about spending time with your child.

Joining the library is easy and it’s free
Lots of different books - board books, picture books and story sacks
Story-rhymetimes and special events at libraries
Helpful library staff
Babies and children can borrow up to ten books for three weeks
No fines for late or damaged books

And don't forget that your child is entitled to two lovely book gifts provided by Bookstart - ask your health visitor or child’s school about them. Alternatively you can collect them from any library in Salford - just pop in and ask a member of staff.
