Selective Licensing launch - great success

Salford are proud to be the first local authority in the country to have obtained approval to make a Selective Licensing designation and in order to mark the occassion, a celebration was held at the Digital World Conference Centre on 1 June 2007.
The programme for the event consisted of a number of formal presentations from speakers including the Rt Hon Hazel Blears MP, Councillor Geoffrey Theobald OBE, Chairman of the Local Authorities Coordinates of Regulatory Services (LACORS) and Joe Tuke, Director of the Respect task force.
The event was a great success and was attended by a number of other Local Authorities, Seedley and Langworthy Residents and Private Landlords who own properties affected by Selective Licensing.
