Complaint Action Guide
This guide should help you to reach a resolution to your problem. Use the leaflets on our site to get specific information to help you.
Before you start any action:
- Make sure that you have a justified claim before you start complaining
- Contact the trader from whom you made the purchase as soon as possible
- Remember it is the trader who is responsible for sorting out your problem
- Stay calm but be determined and firm
- Relate all the facts of your complaint - confirm them in writing
- If all else fails you can go to court but it should be used as a last resort
Read the information given on:
What the law says when you buy goods

What the law says when you pay for a service
