Employment and Support Allowance Information
From 27 October 2008 the Government are introducing a new benefit called Employment & Support Allowance (ESA).
This means that there will be significant changes for people who are not working because of their health. Employment & Support Allowance will replace Incapacity Benefit and Income Support for new claimants. People who already claim will transfer to ESA over the next three years.
We will be delivering a new training course on ESA in October 2008 and January 2009.
If you or your organisation would like us to deliver the training course in-house then please contact debbie.witton@salford.gov.uk.
You can keep up with developments on the implementation of ESA on the internet.
