Cemetery Opening Times
Main Cemetery Gates
The vehicular and pedestrian gates at each cemetery are opened each working day at:
- 8.00am to 8.00pm (April - September)
- 8.00am to 5.00pm (October to March)
At weekends the gates are opened by a contractor by 9.00am who is also responsible for closing the gates each day at the times noted above.
If you encounter any problems with access outside of normal office hours, please contact the city council's emergency service on 0161-794 8888.
The Cemetery Offices
The cemetery offices at our Agecroft and Peel Green Cemeteries are open Monday to Friday at the following times:
- 8.30am to 12.30pm
- 1.15pm to 4.30pm
Please note the office is not open at weekends or on public holidays.
The Book of Remembrance
The Book of Remembrance Rooms at Agecroft and Peel Green Crematoria are open
- 8.30am to 4.45pm, Monday to Thursday
- 8.30am to 3.45pm on Fridays
- 10.00am to 2.00pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays
