Children and families
When children need protecting from neglect and abuse, we provide a range of services to reduce the risks and to stop any abuse or neglect happening. We try to keep families together, but where we think there is a continuing, unacceptable risk of abuse or neglect, we may have to remove the child from the family and provide care ourselves. This is a last resort, but it is sometimes necessary.
We have to make sure that the children and families in greatest need of help get our services. Unfortunately, this means that we may not be able to help all the children and families that need help. However, we will try to put children and families in contact with other organisations.
