Ill health
We all get ill from time to time. If it's a mild cold, you might go to the pharmacist for something to clear up the symptoms. If it's more serious, you might go to your GP and if it's sudden and very serious, you might go to Accident & Emergency. Knowing who to contact can sometimes be quite difficult.
NHS Direct is run by nurses and has produced a self-help guide if you are ill or injured. Details are available about when you should go to a pharmacist, doctor or hospital.
