Pendleton Gateway Artwork

Artists Stella Corrall, Rob Vale and Stephen Charnock have been commissioned by Salford City Council and Salford PCT to make a piece of artwork for each of the Gateway Centres in Eccles, Pendleton and Walkden. The artists have run creative activities using film and animation and plastic to explore peoples ideas for the designs.
In Pendleton three ‘ribbons’ will travel the length of the atrium, merging and twisting. Along the route a series of coloured lights will ripple and flow across the plastic forms, animating the sculpture and continually changing.
