The new LIFT centre in Walkden is called Walkden Gateway.
This new building is located on Bolton Road opposite the busy Ellesmere Shopping Centre in Walkden.

The Walkden Gateway provides:
- core health and social care services including GP services
- drop in facility 9am-4pm for Housing Benefit/ Council Tax Benefit and Council Tax advice
- specialist therapeutic and rehabilitation services
- specialist community dental service (not a general NHS dentist)
- facilities for a number of community services and groups vital to the area
- library services including free PC use and Internet access
- an advice and information facility providing customers with access to local government and health services.
Opening times:
- Monday to Friday: 08:00-22:00
- Saturday: 08:30-13:00
