Emergency First Aid - Pendleton

Aims:
This short course in basic first aid is a fun and complete introduction to the subject. It is designed for those who have no experience in first aid as well as those who want to update their skills. There is no exam and a Certificate is awarded on successful completion of the course.
Learning outcomes:
Emergency "Appointed Person" able to assess, treat and follow up situations covered in the course content.
To have knowledge and understanding of:
- Resuscitation and care of an unconscious casualty
- Care of a choking casualty
- Treatment & control of bleeding and shock
- Legal considerations of first aid in the workplace
- Personal hygiene in treating wounds
- Negotiated delegate needs
