There is a new and improved lettings service known as Salford Home Search, the service comes under the city council’s new housing support service, Housing Connections Partnership.
Salford Home Search provides home seekers with a greater choice when looking for a home to rent whether it’s a council property managed by New Prospect or Salix Homes, a housing association or an accredited private landlord.

Council housing in Salford is provided by two arms-length management organisations (ALMOs): New Prospect and Salix Homes.
New Prospect provides council housing and associated services for tenants across the city of Salford, with the exception of the Central Salford area.
Services in Central Salford are provided by Salix Homes. The organisation also manages housing market renewal projects for the local area.
Tenants in West Salford have recently voted to transfer the ownership of their homes to City West Housing Trust.
In Pendleton a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) organisation is to be established to invest in council owned homes.
