City West Housing Trust
Help us get it right by getting involved
Council tenants in west Salford voted in August 2007 in favour of transferring their homes to City West Housing Trust, a new, not for profit housing company. As a result council homes in west Salford are set to receive over £205 million investment over the next 6 years. City West will have a business plan and will invest 930 million over the next 30 years.
Homes in the areas of Barton, Eccles Winton, Swinton North, Swinton South, Pendlebury, Little Hulton, Walkden North, Walkden South, Boothstown and Ellenbrook, Worsley, Irlam and Cadishead will transfer to City West in Summer 2008, the improvement programme will start shortly after transfer.
Over the coming months, City West will be hosting a number of ‘Tenant Working Groups’ looking at all areas of the service to ensure that new policies and procedures are developed with tenants. These groups will also look at how City West will deliver the improvements promised in the ‘Offer Document’.
A monthly Consultative Group meeting meets to share ideas and make recommendations about the future housing service.
