Shaping Our Place

Housing and Planning Conference 2007
Our very first joint housing and planning Conference; “Shaping our place…” took place on the 3rd October 2007 at the Lowry Centre. The conference was a great success. Thank you to all who attended.
The conference saw the introduction of both the Draft Housing Strategy 2008-2011 and the Core Strategy, the city's key spatial planning document which will set a vision for the city up to 2026. These two documents, together, will ensure that Salford continues to be a great place to live, work and visit, and will also seek to create a twenty-first century city.
Web casts are available of presentations given on the day by:
Deputy Director of Housing and Planning, Bob Osborne on the Draft Housing Strategy
Head of Planning, Chris Findley on the Core Strategy
