No-cost Home Insulation
Salford City Council are committed to helping householders improve the energy efficiency of their properties and are working with E.ON Plc to offer private householders free loft & cavity wall insulation through their HeatStreets scheme.
Do I qualify for free insulation?
- Yes, if you are aged 70 and over
- Yes, if you are on one of the qualifying benefits shown below
- Housing benefit
- Income support
- Council tax benefit (not including single occupancy reduction)
- Income-based jobseeker’s allowance
- Attendance allowance
- Disability living allowance (which must include constant attendance allowance)
- State pension credit
- War disablement pension (which must include mobility supplement or constant attendance allowance)
- Disablement pension credit (which must include constant attendance allowance)
- Child tax credit (where the relevant income is less than £14,600)
- Working tax credit (where the relevant income is less than £14,600).
