Eligibility for HMO assistance

House in multiple occupation (HMO) assistance is in place to ensure that the relevant housing requirements are adhered to.
Any landlord wishing to participate would need to become accredited under the council's Landlord Accreditation Scheme.
Assistance may be made available in very limited circumstances where the following applies;
- The property is strategically important due to its location or potential use to accommodate priority clients.
- To do so would be in line with and positively contribute to the council's adopted strategies and policies.
- The owner has complied with previous requests for information.
How much assistance is available?
An approved contractor will be provided to ensure that the requisite housing standards are achieved.
For full details and terms and conditions view the complete policy and look within the theme based assistance chapter.
