Selective Licensing in Broughton
After the successful implementation of phase 1 of Selective Licensing in Seedley and Langworthy, Salford City Council are proposing to roll out phase 2 of the scheme in Broughton and the landlord licensing team are now in the process of putting together our case to Communities and Local Government for the scheme to be approved.
A Landlord who failed to get a licence for his rented property in Salford has been convicted, in what is believed to be the first case of it's kind in Greater Manchester.

Broughton - next proposed area for selective licensing
Further to the implementation of the Selective Licensing Scheme in Seedley and Langworthy on the 25 May 2007, the Broughton Ward has been proposed as the next designated area in which the local authority are proposing to introduce the scheme.

Salford City Council hosted an event on Friday 1 June 2007 in celebration of our successful selective licensing application for the Seedley & Langworthy Regneration Area.
