Stray dogs
Every effort is made to respond to all reports received regarding stray dogs on the same day as reported.
Routine patrols take place on a daily basis in an attempt to either seize stray dogs or to establish ownership or where the dog lives. Seized dogs are taken to Leigh Animal Sanctuary.
If you have managed to confine a stray dog in your garden or premises, please contact us to arrange for the animal to be collected.
Reuniting seized dogs with their owners
A £70.00 charge is payable to the city council by owners who subsequently claim their dog back from Leigh Animal Sanctuary.
