The Local Development Scheme sets out the planning policy documents the city council proposes to produce over the next three years. It contains a profile of each document and a timetable for their production. The current LDS was approved in September 2008 and covers the period 2008/9 to 2010/11. This came into effect on 3rd October 2008.

Annual Monitoring Report

The Annual Monitoring Report is published in December each year and monitors the effectiveness of the planning policies and proposals.

Core Strategy

The Core Strategy will set out the vision, objectives and spatial development framework for the city.

Statement of Community Involvement

The Statement of Community Involvement sets out the city council’s approach to public participation in the planning processes. Work commenced on this document in April 2006 and the document was adopted in March 2008.
