Statement of Community Involvement

The Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) sets out the standards to be adopted by the city council for engaging the community and key stakeholders in the plan-making process. Its main aim is to achieve greater public involvement in the process of document production or in the determination of planning applications.
Following a 2 year production process the Statement of Community Involvement was adopted by the city council on 19th March 2008. The SCI and supporting documents, including the Inspectors Report, can be downloaded at the bottom of the page.
Alternatively they can be viewed at the following locations:
- At all Salford libraries during normal working hours;
- Main reception, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford (Opening times: Mon-Fri 8:30am to 4:30am).
If you would like to purchase a printed copy of the document, it is available at a cost of £8.00 each including packaging and postage. To order a copy, please email plans.consultation@salford.gov.uk or send a cheque or postal order, crossed and marked ‘Account Payee’ and made payable to Salford City Council, to the address at the bottom of the page.
Information and documents on the earlier stages of the preparation of the Statement of Community Involvement can be found on "Production Process" pages.
