Every household in Salford produces nearly a tonne of waste every year. On average every person in the UK throws away their own body weight in rubbish every two months!
Getting rid of domestic waste is expensive - and there are lots of ways in which you can help - by re-using, recycling and composting.
Here at Salford City Council we are doing our bit by providing a kerbside recycling collection service to help you reduce what you produce.
