When will my wheelie bin be emptied?
Salford City Council collects domestic refuse on Tuesday to Friday each week. This arrangement avoids the necessity to make alternative arrangements to cover bank holiday weekends.
Refuse collections are not normally affected by Bank Holidays unless previously notified by stickers on domestic bins, adverts in local newspapers and via the web site.
The following table identifies the neighbourhoods of Salford that have their bins emptied on each day of the week.
| Day | Tuesday | Wednesday | Thursday | Friday |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Areas |
Little Hulton Walkden North Walkden South Cadishead Irlam |
Langworthy Ordsall Blackfriars Broughton Kersal Pendleton |
Claremont Weaste/Seedley Eccles Barton Winton |
Pendlebury Swinton North Swinton South Worsley/Boothstown |
You've missed my bin! What should I do?
Please call 0161-909 6500 as soon as possible. You can also email environment@salford.gov.uk. We will make every effort to call back to empty your bin the same day. Where this is not possible alternative arrangements will be made.
I've forgotten to put my bin out! What should I do?
Please call 0161-909 6500 as soon as possible. Again, where practicable to do so, we will endeavour to get your bin emptied the same day.
