Environmental Education
Education is an important tool in understanding how we affect our environment and how we can 'do our bit’ to improve it.
The Environmental Education & Awareness Team are available to visit:
- Schools
- Youth Groups
- Brownies/Girl Guide Groups, etc.
- Volunteer Groups
- Community Groups
We can deliver fun and interactive sessions on a wide range of environmental topics, from recycling to the problems of littering on our streets. We can conduct assemblies and provide curriculum based lessons; the team can tailor visits to your needs
Educational DVD's
We have produced several DVDs to help young people learn about different aspects of the environment.
- 'Don't Trash the Glass' - This is our latest DVD, which looks at why we need to recycle and follows the journey of a glass jar to the recycling factory.
- 'A New Start' - A short animated film showing what your waste thinks about recycling.
- 'Consequences Faerie' - Made for young people by young people this shows what happens when you commit environmental crime.
