Robert McAvoy
"There's no job we don't do," says Robert McAvoy who works in Seedley and Langworthy every day.
Sometimes it's a difficult job. "We can spend all day clearing up a back yard - and then the next someone tips stuff over the wall and we are back to square one, people don't realise they are ruining their own community"
The Making it Better vehicle is instantly recognisable and the crew are well know by the local community. He does enjoy the job and enjoys making friends and chatting to people.
He is very much in favour of the Amnesty Days held by Environmental Services. "We deliver a leaflet when we empty the bins and people are able to get rid of loads of rubbish. It's a great idea."
If you would like information on the next Amnesty Day in your area please contact Salford Direct on 0161 909 6500.
