Dead animals

Salford City Council is able to provide a dignified collection service for dead animals - either found dead at home or reported as found dead on the street or in a public open space.

If a pet is found on the streets or following a road traffic accident, if they are wearing a collar this is removed and returned to the owner. Every reasonable effort is made to trace the owner to inform them of their pet's death.

Collected animals are taken to the incinerator at Cobden Street, Salford.  For further information please call 0161-909 6500 or email environment@salford.gov.uk.
