Gatso Camera

All the cameras in Salford are operated by the Safety Camera Partnership - DriveSafe.

There are three types of camera in Salford

  • Fixed Site (Speed)
  • Mobile Site (Speed)
  • ATS (Red Light)

Cameras can only be located at sites where there have been a number of collisions resulting in people being killed or seriously injured (KSI) and where no other engineering solutions are suitable.

The following is a current list of all safety camera locations within the city.

Regent Rd roundabout Red Light N/A

The following locations can be enforced using mobile speed cameras on an ad-hoc basis at any point along the route.

Agecroft Road Mobile 30 mph

Other sites can be targeted using mobile enforcement as a site of "Community Concern". This is where the collision record does not qualify it for a fixed camera or permanent mobile site but where the concerns of local residents are such that speed cameras would be of benefit in reducing through speed.
