Revocation of prohibition of waiting and introduction of new prohibition of waiting order order 2008
Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
When the order comes into effect schedules 2, 3 and 5 of The City of Salford (Great Cheetham Street West, Salford)(Revocation of Prohibition of Waiting and introduction of New Prohibition of Waiting)(Amendment to Existing Order 2001 will be amended as per the schedules below.
The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.
A copy of the proposed order, together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order, may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection, in writing, to the Head of Law and Administration, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, by the 3 July 2008 (quoting reference H/PP/C/PD/RTO/2977).

- No waiting at any time and no loading/unloading 7.30 - 9.30am and 4.00 - 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

- Bury New Road, west side, from the boundary with the city of Manchester to the junction with Wellington Street West.
- Great Cheetham Street East, south side, from Bury New Road to a point 12 metres north east of the north easterly kerbline of Back Roman Road.
- Great Cheetham Street East, south side, from a point 11 metres south west of the south western kerbline of Bradshaw Street for a distance of 29 metres in a north easterly direction.

Insofar as it relates to
- Great Cheetham Street West, north side, from a point 50 metres east of the easterly kerbline of Great Clowes Street to the westerly kerbline of Bury New Road.

- Great Cheetham Street West, north side, from a point 50 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Great Clowes Street for a distance of 45 metres and then from a point 125 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Great Clowes Street to the westerly kerbline of Bury New Road.

Schedule 5 - no waiting, loading/unloading 7.30am to 9.30am and 4.00pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday waiting limited to 1 hour in any period of two hours is deleted and replaced by a new schedule 5 introducing limited waiting:
1 hour no return within 2 hours 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.
- Cheetham Street East, north side, from a point 11 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of Basten Drive in a north easterly direction for a distance of 37 metres.
- Great Cheetham Street East, south side, from a point 12 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of Back Roman Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 35 metres.
- Great Cheetham Street East , south side, from a point 11 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of Bradshaw Street in a north easterly direction for a distance of 20 metres.
- Great Cheetham Street West, north side, from a point 95 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Great Clowes Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 30 metres.
