Consultation
An important element of our Travel Plan is the need to listen to your views. The following table is an illustration of how we are listening to the views of staff, residents and stakeholders.
| Target | Method | Objective |
|---|---|---|
| All staff | Staff briefing by managers. Intranet/email | Inform staff how the council is going to address issues of travel to work. |
| Steering Group | Presentation | Raise awareness about the Travel Plan. Outline the key aspects of the Travel Plan Strategy plus a question and answer session. |
| Managers of key business areas | Short face-to-face meetings | Identify opportunities to reduce business travel. |
| Focus groups | Round table discussions | Determine initiatives to be considered as part of the Travel Plan. These groups can be mode specific for example cyclists. |
| Steering Group | Presentation | Present the Final Travel Plan and the business case. |
