How are we performing

The Salford Crime and Disorder Partnership set targets for crime and disorder which run for twelve month periods ending at the end of March 2008 – these are measured by looking at recorded crime statistics.

As of January 2008 we had made the following progress on current targets:

Target by end of March 2008 for Salford Performance as of January 2008
Reduce crime in the city during 2007/08 by 8% 18% reduction
Reduce domestic burglary by 5% 10.6% reduction
Reduce vehicle crime by 22% 21.5% reduction
Reduce theft from motor vehicles by 30% 14.6% reduction
Reduce assaults and woundings by 5% 11.6% reduction
Reduce robbery by 5% 16.2% reduction
