Risk assessments
Lledr Hall Outdoor Education Centre provides challenging learning experiences for young people and adults in an outdoor setting.
By their very nature some of the outdoor adventurous activities contain an element of real risk, without which they would be less valuable in terms of positive learning experiences, benefits and outcomes.
Through a system of formal and informal activity management procedures demonstrated in this document, Lledr Hall and its staff aim to reduce and control this element of real risk.
Lledr Hall's risk assessment document is to be used in conjunction with DfES publication ‘Health And Safety of Pupils on Educational trips and Visits’ (HASPEV), Salford’s ‘Code of Practice for Educational Trips and Visits’, and 'Adventurous Activity Licencing Authority' (A.A.L.A.) Guidance and Advice.
These documents comprehensively guide the safe provision of high quality outdoor adventurous activity sessions at Lledr Hall Outdoor Education Centre.
