Luncheon clubs
Luncheon clubs are a great way to get out of the house for a few hours, meet friends for a chat and get a hot and healthy meal.
- Luncheon clubs offer affordable, good quality hot meals, and a chance to meet up with friends
- They are run by a number of different organisations, often subsidised by the city council, such as voluntary organisations, religious groups and community groups
- If you have a special diet, please get in touch with your local club
- If you need some help getting to a luncheon club, the club may already know of help available
- There are a number of transport organisations who can help you get there
- Most clubs have a minimum age and some have other rules about who can go. You will need to contact any that you are interested in
- You may have to contact social services and ask for an assessment of your needs for some of the luncheon clubs
- All luncheon clubs will charge, although this is usually subsidised
