Mad about school

"Missing fun and missing school, Trevor Truant is just not cool..."
Salford Education and Welfare Service is currently running an attendance campaign, aimed at primary schools in the city. The campaign, called 'Mad about school IN Salford', aims to increase both pupils' and parents' awareness of the implications of missing school, whether it be by playing truant, having holidays in term time, or repeatedly arriving late.
The pupils themselves have helped to shape the campaign through a design competition. The winners and runners up can be seen by following the links on the left. There's also facts and figures about truancy, as well as a chance for pupils to tell us what they think about their school.
