The Salford Flutes entertained with Mozart's Rondo Alla Turka, The Madrigal from The Mikado by Arthur Sullivan and a traditional Sailor's hornpipe.

The Saxophone ensemble had recently performed in the Music for Youth Festival and repeated their programme with Bannoffee Pie by Karen Street and So We Too by Nigel Woods.

The evening came to a dramatic close with the Youth Orchestra playing Tchiakovsky's Romeo and Juliet Overture and Ride of the Valkaries by Richard Wagner.
