Music and Performing Arts Support
Salford Music and Performing Arts Service (MAPAS) exists to support schools in the development of music and performing arts education of the highest quality, which is accessible to all.
This is achieved by:
- Providing high quality instrumental and vocal tuition
- Providing curriculum support for music, drama and dance
- Providing Wider Opportunities projects (full class bands and whole school singing)
- Providing a wide range of group activities at arts centres for young people and adults of all abilities
- Developing special projects for music and the performing arts and providing a range of high quality performance opportunities
- Providing workshops and demonstrations for the schools
MAPAS is dedicated to 'raising standards' and 'maximising the potential' of young people within the city of Salford.
