We had some free time during the day prior to our visit to the Jewish Museum at Cheetham Hill. It is a very interesting museum and well worth a visit.

An early start today as we attended a coffee morning organised by the League of Jewish Women at the Manchester Reform Synagogue, Jacksons Row. Late afternoon we were at the Whitworth Hall for the Gypsy, Roma, Traveller, Showman achievement awards event. This consisted of myself and the Lord Mayor of Manchester handing out certificates to the children. In the evening we were guests of Salford City College for a performance of "Jekyll and Hyde" the musical. What talent we have in the city.

This morning we were at Agecroft Cemetery for the three remembrance services we perform annually on this date. They are performed at the war graves, the public memorial and the memorial to the crew of the Lancaster bomber which crashed on its way home.

This morning we attended a civic and memorial service at the South Manchester Synagogue, Bowden. In the afternoon we attended a Christmas Flower Arrangement demonstration at the Robert Powell theatre. In the evening we were back at the Cavendish Suite on Oldham Road for an awards ceremony for Asian Diaspora Achievers.

Remembrance Sunday. I attended the service at the Crescent whilst the Mayoress attended and laid the civic wreath at Little Hulton. Afterwards we accepted the annual invitation to Haldene Barracks and lunch.

An evening visit to the Compass Room at The Lowry to attend a showcase and celebration event by the Salford Foundation.
Tuesday 15 November 2011
A busy day ahead. First back to The Lowry to greet the Prime Minister of the Netherlands. Mr Mark Rutte, together with the Ambassador. Then back to the Civic Centre for a citizenship ceremony. A quick wash and brush up and we were off to Lancashire County Cricket Club for the police bravery awards.
