Meals service
The meals service is a weekly delivery of frozen or hot meals, which you order every two weeks. We will meet any particular dietary needs (diabetic, vegetarian, coeliac, halal, kosher etc) you have.
The frozen meals service is provided by Oakhouse Foods.
The hot meals service is provided by the city council. It is also available to pregnant mothers who are nursing a child (under five years) and who cannot provide themselves with a daily hot meal.
Both meals services offer a main course and a dessert. Staff will tell you when your food is due to be delivered.
How can I get this service?
You will need to use our online enquiry form, or contact the social work team about the meals service and ask for an assessment.
If you are not eligible, we may suggest alternatives such as luncheon clubs or day care.
If you are eligible, there is a small charge of £2.25 per two course meal. If you decide to buy directly from Oakhouse Foods, please contact them for their current prices.
