Mental health partnership board

What do you think about mental health services for adults?

Mental Health Partnership Board is a commissioning and performance monitoring board for Salford Adult Mental Health Services. This means that it oversees the purchase of mental health services and monitors how well these services perform. Service users and carers sit on this board along with officers from health and social care to make decisions about mental health services.

There are four service user and four carer seats on the board, however there are a wider group of people who work as deputy representatives to support the board in developing services in response to the needs of Salford citizens.

The Salford Mental Health Development Board was developed with service users and carers and provides a space for information raised at the Partnership Board to be discussed in more depth. Representatives of mental health service user and carer groups in Salford sit on this board and act as a consultative group. Information discussed at the Development Board can be passed to the Partnership Board through citizen's view to influence decision making.

If you want to get involved as a board member or in projects relating to the work of the boards, please contact clare.mayo@salford.gov.uk, User Development Worker for Mental Health on 0161 793 3832.
