Background

Following the enlargement of the EU, new communities from countries such as Poland, Czech Republic and Romania are establishing themselves in Salford. They face complex rules and restrictions governing their benefit and tax credit entitlements. This course is aimed at helping you to advise migrant workers on what they can claim whilst working and how entitlements are affected if work ends.

Aims

To provide an overview of the benefit and tax credit entitlements for EU migrant workers and their families.

To enable you to identify who is entitled to claim and how this is affected as circumstances change.
