Christmas mobile phone campaign

Could you give someone a mobile lifeline this Christmas and New Year?

Many victims of domestic abuse have their phones removed or damaged by their abuser. Sometime, the police may take a mobile as evidence of an offence. Although unavoidable, this can leave vulnerable people without access to help in an emergency.

We are asking you to drop off your old mobile phones and chargers at one of a number of approved access points. The Salford Independent Domestic Abuse Support Service (SIDASS) received over 1,000 referrals for support last year. They will reuse your old phone to allow victims of abuse to make emergency calls and stay safe.

Domestic abuse can take a number of forms. If you or anyone you know are experiencing problems that are sexual, financial, emotional or physical then please let someone know, more information about domestic abuse
