Mossfield Sure Start Children's Centre
Mossfield Children's Centre is situated in the grounds of Mossfield Primary School in Swinton.
What we offer

The activities and services are delivered by our highly trained staff and partners including: children's centre workers, education lead teacher, midwives, health visitors, parent advisors, peri-natal health visitor, mental health worker, nursery nurses, librarian, adult learning tutors, and a child psychologist.
The centre
The centre has two outdoor play areas, a clinic, a family room with kitchen facilities, a large hall and a library area where books and story sacks are available for loaning.
There is a small car park in front of the building for staff and visitors.
Our recently developed outdoor area is linked to the crèche. In addition, a second play area is linked to the hall which is used by Kids Kapers, our before-and-after-school and holiday club.
Within our crèche's outdoor environment there is a beach area, digging area, story seating area, climbing area using tyres and grassy hillocks. Outside activities include continuous provision with lots of opportunity for children to choose and explore, planting activities, painting, water play, den making, wheeled toys, baby area, messy play, and story and rhyme time. During the summer, we had a teddy bears' picnic, animal road show and a children’s entertainer.
