One Stop Shop
The One Stop Shop has moved to 42-44 Hulton District Centre, Little Hulton, M28 0AU. It offers access to a range of publicly accessible Salford City Council services.
Staff at the One Stop Shop will do their best to answer your queries about a range of subjects. They might not always know the answer, but they will do their best to put you in touch with the right person.

Forthcoming and previous One Stop Shop events
The One Stop Shop holds regular open day events. The next event shall be 'Get Online Week' 18 - 22 October closely followed the week after by 'Family Learning Week'. During these two weeks the One Stop Shop shall be holding fun and informal computer sessions ranging from an introduction to digital photography to learning the basics of using a word processor. Each caller to the events shall also have the opportunity to be signed up for a free 'myguide' email address.

- Advice to help you completing job application forms
- Free community website design for community and voluntary groups and community enterprises
- Free web design for local businesses
- Help with community funding using the computer program "Funder Finder"

- Blue Badge application forms
- Access to online bill payment and other online Salford City Council services
- Access to services offered by Moneyline Greater Manchester

Disability employment advice surgeries
Disability employment advice surgeries are now being held every Tuesday from 10.00am to 4.00pm at Skills and Work, 46 Hulton District Centre. This is an outreach service designed to give advice and guidance to people with disabilities or health issues who wish to make steps towards gaining or retaining employment. Free community newsletter
A free community newsletter for the Little Hulton and Walkden area is produced every quarter. If you have an item for inclusion, please send an email to the newsletter submission team for more information.

Training
Free basic one to one computer training
We can offer basic training to allow you to gain confidence to progress onto other courses. The training will be given in a relaxed and informal way. You can use our computers for extra practice to back up your own computer course.
Training courses include:
- Basic introduction to computers and information and communication technology (ICT); learn the basics from turning a computer on, create your CV, set up a free email address and go on line on the internet. This course lasts approx six weeks at two hours/session
- Basic introduction to word processing using Microsoft Word; learn how to set up letters, newsletters, insert and format tables along with other useful applications
- Basic introduction to spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel; learn how to set up and manage spreadsheets, ideal for home budgeting, stock control, inventories etc
- Basic introduction to Adobe Photoshop; learn how to digitally repair old photos, remove unwanted people from photos, cancel out red eye or colourise black and white images
- Advanced Photoshop; learn some of the indepth techniques as used by the professionals. We do request that you complete our basic introduction to Photoshop prior to enrolling for the Advanced Photoshop course
- Basic introduction to desktop publishing using Microsoft Publisher; learn how to create and develop posters, flyers, tickets, business cards, greetings cards, newsletters and a whole range of other fun items too
- Basic introduction to the Internet and email; learn how to surf the world wide web, buy online, research your family history and access a digital world of information
All our training is done either as a one to one session or in a small group of six maximum. The training is of an informal nature at an easy to follow pace.
Free websites for community groups
As part of Community Telematics, the One Stop Shop offers free website building that also includes the initial design and publishing too, for non-profit making community groups within Salford. If you are a member of a Salford non-profit making community group please contact David Begley at the One Stop Shop on 0161 779 8089 for further information.

Resources available
We have faxing, laminating, scanning, spiral binding and professional colour printing facilities available (A6 to A3 sizes). Small charges apply depending on usage/quantity.
We also offer a professional graphic design service too for poster, flyer, business card and leaflet design. This is a chargeable service.

The Neighbourhood Management Team for Little Hulton and Walkden is made up of the Neighbourhood Manager, the Community Development Officer, the Admin Officer to the Neighbourhood Manager and the Trainee Neighbourhood Assistant.
