Parks and spaces
Improvements to the open space at Monmouth Park in south Ordsall were completed in July 2008. Work has started on implementing a masterplan to improve Ordsall Park, the second oldest park within the city.
In summer 2009, improvements were made to the children's play equipment with the addition of a natural play area and a small trim trail for younger children. The park also boasts a green gym for outdoor exercising, recently installed new seating and a nature trail.
Planned improvements for 2011 include an informal play area.
Each phase of the development carried out under the development agreement is subject to consultation with local residents. Consultation events have recently been held for the next phases of regeneration, including redevelopment of the old District Centre and former St Clements primary school site.
A copy of the report on the results of this last consultation event can be downloaded below.
