Bury New Road/Broom Lane

Salford City Council proposes to make the following order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The order will introduce the following restrictions.

No waiting at any time

Bury New Road 

  • North east side, from its junction with the northerly projected kerbline of New Hall Road for a distance of 30 metres in a north westerly direction.
  • North east side, from its junction with the southerly projected kerbline of New Hall Road for a distance of 19.5 metres in a south easterly direction.
  • South east side, from its junction with the north easterly projected kerbline of Bury New Road for a distance of 36.6 metres in a north easterly direction.

Broom Lane

  • South west and south east side, from its junction with the south easterly projected kerbline of New Hall Road for a distance of 44 metres in a easterly direction.
  • North east and north west side, from its junction with the south easterly projected kerbline of New Hall Road to a point ten metres east of the north easterly kerbline of Legh Road.
  • South east side, from a point 57.8 metres south west of its junction with Legh Road for a distance of 60 metres in a south westerly direction.

Proposed one way traffic

  • From its junction with New Hall Road in a north easterly direction to its junction with Legh Road.

A copy of the proposed orders, plans of the area and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the orders may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (due to COVID-19 restrictions, please ensure that the Civic Centre is open before attending).
