Dalton Street and Carlton Street

Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The proposed order will seek to amend the current order in place to include the following:

Residents parking places Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 12pm

  • Dalton Street, north east side, from its junction with Lansdowne Road for its entire length to the cul-de-sac end
  • Dalton Street, south west side, from its junction with Lansdowne Road for its entire length to the cul-de-sac end
  • Carlton Street, north east side, from its junction with Lansdowne Road for its entire length to the cul-de-sac end
  • Carlton Street, south west side, from its junction with Lansdowne Road for its entire length to the cul-de-sac end

Eligibility for parking permits

The following residents and businesses who meet the qualifying criteria will be eligible to apply for a residents parking permit at a cost of £50 per year:

  • Dalton Street - properties numbered 1 to 21 (odd numbers) and 2 to 22 (even numbers)
  • Carlton Street - properties numbered 1 to 23 (odd numbers)

Residents will also be eligible to apply for a visitor’s parking permit.

Carer’s parking permit

Residents that require essential care and support on a regular basis may be eligible to apply for a carer’s parking permit. Please contact the council for further information.

An existing order is to be amended so as to be consistent with the proposal.

A copy of the proposed order together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday. 

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing by 12 August 2019 (quoting ref L/PSH/OUT1093/744).
