Hankinson Way area

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make the following orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Toucan crossing upgrade on:

Hankinson Way

  • The midpoint of the Toucan crossing is located 47 metres north east from the north east kerbline of Loganberry Avenue.
  • The Toucan crossing is seven metres in width, nine metres in length with zig-zags extending ten metres in a north east direction and ten metres in a south westerly direction from the mid-point of the crossing.

Raised junction tables in the length of road on:

Hankinson Way

  • Flat top road hump at uncontrolled pedestrian crossing - half carriageway width (8.25 metres long, 5.1 metres wide and no greater than 75mm high – Located on Hankinson Way (North east bound carriageway) midpoint 64 metres south west from the projected south west kerbline of Loganberry Avenue
  • Flat top road hump at uncontrolled pedestrian crossing – half carriageway width (9.5 metres long, 5.4 metres wide and no greater than 75mm high – Located on Hankinson Way (south west bound carriageway) midpoint 65 metres south west from the projected south west kerbline of Loganberry Avenue
  • Flat top road hump at signalised controlled crossing – half carriageway width (8.25 metres long, 4 metres wide and no greater than 75mm high – Located on Hankinson Way (south west bound carriageway) midpoint 49 metres south west from the projected south west kerbline of Belvedere Road.
  • Flat top road hump for Toucan crossing – full carriageway width (9 metres long, 7 metres wide and no greater than 75mm high – Located on Hankinson Way midpoint 47 metres north east from the projected north east kerbline of Loganberry Avenue.

A copy of the proposed orders, together with a plan and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday.

The order will contain exceptions for a vehicle if used for naval, military, or air force purposes.
