Liverpool Road, proposed Toucan Crossing

Notice is hereby given that the council of the City of Salford, in exercise of its powers under section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, proposes to construct a signal controlled (Toucan) crossing on:

Liverpool Road

  • The midpoint of the crossing will be located 63metres south west from the extended western kerbline of Newlands Avenue.

The Toucan Crossing will be 3.6 metres in width, 10.65 metres in length with zig-zags extending to 13.75 metres north east and 13.75 south west of the mid-point of the Crossing. 

A copy of the plan of the area and statement of the council's reasons for proposals may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Rd, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
