Manchester Road West and Clegg’s Lane area

Footway conversion to a shared use un-segregated footway/ cycle track on Manchester Road West, Cleggs Lane, Old Lane and Conniston Avenue – Little Hulton

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to convert the following lengths of existing footway to cycle track use under section 66(4) and 65(1) of the Highways Act 1980.The footways specified below will be converted to un-segregated shared use area for pedestrians and cyclists.

Manchester Road West

  • south side, from a point 23.5 metres north west off the north western extended kerb line of Ram Street, in a north westerly direction for 26.5 metres
  • north side, from north west extended kerb line of Stocksfield Drive in a north westerly direction for 25 metres.

Clegg’s Lane

  • south east side, from a point 27.2 metres north east of the north eastern extended kerb line of Seddon Street, in a north easterly direction for 43.6 metres
  • north west side, from a point 1.7 metres north east of the north eastern extended kerb line of Seddon Street, in a north easterly direction for 39.8 metres

Old Lane

  • south west side, from the north west extended kerb line of Clegg’s Lane in a north westerly direction for 9.2 metres
  • north east side, from the north western extended kerb line of Clegg’s Lane in a north westerly direction for 26.2 metres

Coniston Avenue

  • south west side, from the south eastern extended kerb line of Clegg’s Lane in a south easterly direction for 11.3 metres
