Oldfield Road/James Street

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The proposed order seeks to introduce ‘No waiting at any time’ on: 

Oldfield Road 

  • West side from its junction with Chapel Street to its junction with Regent Road.
  • East side from its junction with James Street to its junction with Regent Road.

South William Street 

  • Both sides for its full length.

Hope Street 

  • North side from its junction with Oldfield Road in a north westerly direction for a distance of 20m.
  • South side from its junction with Oldfield Road in a north westerly direction for a distance of 10m. 

Proposed No Waiting Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 11am on: 

James Street 

  • South side from a point 15m from its junction with Oldfield Road in a south easterly direction for a distance of 78m.

Proposed No Loading/Unloading Monday to Saturday between 7am and 10am and Monday to Friday 4pm and 7pm on: 

Oldfield Road

  • West side from its junction with Chapel Street to its junction with Hulme Street.
  • South east side from its junction with Hampson Street to its junction with Middlewood Street.
  • South east side from its junction with Middlewood Street in a south westerly direction for a distance of 50m.
  • North west side from its junction with the north eastern kerbline of Barlow Road to its junction with the south western kerbline of Liverpool Street.
  • North west side from its junction with Liverpool Street to its junction with Cow Lane.
  • West side from its junction with Regent Road to its junction with Duncan Street.
  • East side from its junction with Regent Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 133m. 

Existing orders have been amended to be consistent with the proposals. 

A copy of the proposed order together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday to Friday. 

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing by 27 September 2018 (quoting ref L/TG/OUT1093/658).
