Park Road and Walkden Road

Notice is hereby given that Salford City Council proposes make the following order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the order will be to introduce the following provisions:

No waiting at any time

Park Road

  • North side from a point 29.5 metres west of the western kerbline of Walkden Road in a westerly then south westerly direction, to a point 170 metres west of the western kerbline of Walkden Road.
  • Both sides from the extended northern kerbline of Park Road in a north westerly direction for a distance of ten metres.

Limited waiting parking places

Operative 9.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Sunday, waiting limited to two hours, no return within two hours. Exemption for vehicles displaying a residents’ parking permit.

Walkden Road

  • West side from a point 35 metres west of the western kerbline of Walkden Road in a westerly direction direction for a distance to a point 73.5 metres west of the western kerbline of Walkden Road.

Eligibility for residents' parking permit

Residents and businesses at all properties in Park Road 2 to 16 (even numbered properties) who meet the qualifying criteria will be eligible to apply for a residents’ parking permit at a cost of £50 per annum.

Visitor’s parking permit

Residents at all aforesaid properties who meet the qualifying criteria will also be eligible to apply for a visitor’s parking permit.

Carer’s parking permit

Residents that require essential care and support on a regular basis may be eligible to apply for a carer’s parking permit.

Copies of the proposed orders, plans of the area and statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the above orders may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, 9am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (due to the COVID-19 restrictions, please ensure that the Civic Centre is open before attending). Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be viewed at Unity House, Swinton, Manchester M27 5FJ. The documents will be displayed to the left of the main (and only public) entrance to the building, adjacent to the public car park at the Civic Centre. If you are unable to attend, a copy of the plan may be requested (without payment) by emailing phlegal@manchester.gov.uk
