The Quays

Salford City Council proposes to make the following orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The titles and effect of the proposed orders will be as follows.

Establishment of Hackney Carriage Stand order 2019

• The Quays, north west side, from 36.5 metres north east from The Quays roundabout adjacent to Lowry Theatre north east kerbline (outer ring) for 22 metres in a north east direction.

Prohibition of waiting and amendment order 2019

No waiting at any time on The Quays

• Both sides, from a point 340 metres south west and north west of Trafford Road to 10 metres north of the roundabout located 30 metres west of the western kerbline of Winnipeg Quay.
• East and north side, from a point 10 metres north of the roundabout located 30 metres west of the western kerbline of Winnipeg Quay in a north and then west direction to 58.5 metres north east from The Quays roundabout adjacent to Lowry Theatre north east kerbline (outer ring).
• West and south side, from 28 metres north of the roundabout located 30 metres west of the western kerbline of Winnipeg Quay in a north and then in west direction to The Quays roundabout adjacent to Lowry Theatre north east kerbline (outer ring).
• North side, from The Quays roundabout adjacent to Lowry Theatre north east kerbline (outer ring) for 36.5 metres in an easterly direction.
• Both sides, from The Quays roundabout adjacent to Lowry Theatre north east kerbline (outer ring) and including the roundabout to Broadway

Existing orders are to be amended to be consistent with the above proposals.

A copy of the proposed orders together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 9am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday. 

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing by 17 November 2019 (quoting ref L/AF/OUT1093/774).
