Victoria Crescent and Clarendon Crescent

Salford City Council proposes to make an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

Proposals for Victoria Crescent were first advertised in July 2019. Following the consideration of objections, the council proposes to amend the scheme. The main change is the relocation of the Limited Waiting Parking Place so it will be adjacent to Clarendon Gardens. No Waiting at Any Time is proposed for the Victoria Crescent/Clarendon Crescent junction, to facilitate operation of the Parking Place. The proposals are as follows: 

No waiting at any time

Victoria Crescent

• from a point 16 metres north east of the north western side of the cul-de-sac end in a south westerly, easterly and north easterly direction (around the cul-de-sac end) to a point 8.5 metres north east from the south eastern side of the cul-de-sac end; and
• Victoria Crescent – south east side, from the extended western kerbline of Clarendon Crescent for a distance of 17 metres in a south westerly direction:

Clarendon Crescent

• west side, from the extended south eastern kerbline of Victoria Crescent for a distance of 17 metres in a southerly direction.

Limited waiting parking place, Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, waiting limited to two hours, no return within two hours

Victoria Crescent

• from a point 17 metres south west of the western kerbline of Clarendon Crescent for a distance of 49 metres in a south westerly direction (25 metres width).

A copy of the proposed orders together with the plan and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 9am and 4.30pm from Monday to Friday.
